The Post That Got Pawned

(Geddit?)

So, played chess today for my house. Usual chess player, Karo, left to HK last Sunday so someone had to step in. Why not another Asian? Here comes Jon, up to Board 1 to do Kaiser proud.

Yeah... Nobody told them that not all Asians are good at chess. I did, however, win ONE game. Out of six. 2 of which were against the top guns of chess in our school. Lost to them in about... 30 seconds? Yeah... I'm not gonna play chess ever again. I can't spoil my reputation any further.

Connie arrived today. She's gonna be my date for the formal, which is tomorrow (Friday) night. It's good to see her again, and she gave me a dog-tag with "BEST FR13ND" on it. It's cute. All I've got for her is a seashell I picked up at Surfers =P.

Whoo! It's the end of the term already. 1 semester down, one more to go. Year's gone by pretty quick, as it always does. It's good though, next year will be a whole new experience.

WHEE! WON ONE GAME OF CHESS! COME ON!!!!!!!!!!! Kaiser came 10th by the way.

The Post That Got Phased

Last night, we were out with 2 girls who were gonna be dates for two of my friends, and some other girl. Anyway, the boys were bored, so luckily for us the girls left early (I know). We came over to my place to play pool and discuss what we should do the next day [today]. Go-karting was brought up, and that was what we did.

My last attempt to go-kart was quite a disaster. When I tried to brake, my foot completely missed the pedal and my leg got burnt by the tyre rubbing on my skin. Ouch! Anyway, this time I wore long pants, so I wouldn't hurt my leg at all. GENIUS!

So, the four of us got to the Le Mans track and paid the fee. It was $30 for 6 laps. Sounds okay like that, but when you take into account that one lap is around 1 minute long, $5 per minute doesn't sound like a good deal. But it's the experience that counts, and it was brilliant! Well... a brilliant 6 minutes of my life.

First lap was spent getting to know how the kart performs. Top speed was 70km/h. Steering was hard, but didn't have to turn the wheel much to get around the corner. Laptime: 74 seconds. Felt faster than that though.

Next 5 laps were spent cutting laptimes. Following a better line. Going faster, braking later (or not braking at all). On the 6th lap, I had cut almost 20 seconds off my first laptime. 56.04 seconds to be exact. 1 and a half seconds slower than our fastest friend, 2 and a half seconds slower than the fastest laptime of the day. 0.02 seconds faster than the 3rd place friend =P. Close stuff.

Maybe one day cars will all be sorta like go-karts, but with a bit (or a lot) more power. That would be pretty awesome I reckon. Fuel wouldn't be much of a worry cuz it'll probably do 214154235mpg. But there wouldn't be much room or privacy for car sex...

Hmm...

I reckon cars are great the way they are. Unless they're made in Malaysia.

The Post Which Is Emotion In Words

So, I've had two days of gruelling tests. English followed by Bio on Thursday, then Maths followed by Business on Friday. A Football Manager marathon ensued once I got home on Friday arvo. So basically, if I could exclude sleep, showers, meals and all those, I've been playing Football Manager non-stop. Therefore, I have come up with the conclusion that:

Football Manager >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Life

I am so awesome.

Geography is on Wednesday, that means I have Sunday and Monday to play more Football Manager, and Tuesday to do some revision plus note-making, followed by more Football Manager. After I'm done with that last exam, it's Football Manager from Wednesday to Sunday. Preferably non-stop as well, but I still need to eat and sleep anyway =\.

Hmm... I wonder if anyone realised that I hadn't blogged for weeks/days. Blah, I don't even know when was the last time I made a post. Ah well, back to Football Manager now.
