The Post That Was Articficially Inseminated

Well, my exams start next week, beginning with the dreaded QCS test on Tuesday and Wednesday. So naturally, I compiled a list of Ultimate Driving Songs.

Currently, I've got 39 songs with a total time of 2.4 hours. In time I'll probably add more, but this is the first shortlist. If anyone wants to add some suggestions, please do let me know on MSN or by email or feel free to use the Chatbox. Meanwhile, here are my Top 10 Ultimate Driving Songs. If you disagree, well... too bad then.

10. Ride - The Vines

9. Happy Together - The Turtles

8. I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles) - The Proclaimers

7. Love Shack - B-52's

6. Hungry Like the Wolf - Duran Duran

5. Lust for Life - Iggy Pop

4. Immigrant Song - Led Zeppelin

3. Living on a Prayer - Bon Jovi

2. Born to be Wild - Steppenwolf

1. Paradise City - Guns N' Roses

There were many others, like Summer of 69 - Bryan Adams, Sweet Child O' Mine - Guns N' Roses and Black Betty - Spiderbait, but I reckon these were the best out of the whole lot. Looking forward to opinions flooding my inbox!

[Update]: Here's a Rule One of my 39 Ultimate Driving Songs. Please, you look.

The Post That Couldn't Stand To Put Down A Whale

The English (sorry... Barclays) Premier League is back! Yay! I know, this post has come a week late, but I have my reasons. My ill health and assignments for example, but mostly my ill health. I've been coughing for over a month now, since the second week back I think. I remember playing a football match while coughing. Anyway, I'm better now. Much better. Which is good, of course, because that means I can watch the matches this weekend! I'm planning to watch the Stoke City vs Aston Villa match because I've got 3 Villans in my Dream Team, Thongster FC. Currently I'm 2nd in the table, which is pretty good after one round of matches.

Paedophile Wenger has finally bought someone who couldn't pass off as his son. Good on him, beefing up his defence while leaving the midfield somewhat bare. The Barry deal is off but Alonso may come in before the transfer window closes. Don't worry Arse fans, Arsene knows.

Chelsea got off to a brilliant start, thumping FA Cup winners 4-0 at home. I couldn't watch the match as it was at a pretty late time and I was very sick. I did read that Chelsea played very fluid, attacking football and it was almost like watching Brazil. Bodes well for the season ahead. We play Wigan on Sunday so I might not be able to catch that match due to the time again. Sometimes the fixtures really annoy me, but for a different reason to that of the managers.

I'm posting almost 9-month old photos on Facebook for your viewing pleasure, so if you're reading this and you have Facebook, please go to my profile and view them. Thank you!

The Post That Found A Phone But Left It

Who watched the Olympics opening ceremony? I did. And I thought it was wonderful! My favourite part was with the moving blocks in the middle of the stadium. I was thinking about how awesome technology is nowadays, being able to create such a synchronised performance. Then all off a sudden, flowers popped out from under the blocks, followed by people. Now that's a twist!

I pity the fools who didn't watch it.

The Post That Left The Room

On Saturday, I played my last ever game of high school football. The final score was 1-1 and the highlight of my game was a 50 yard pass that I played. Incredible stuff! But it's sad that there'll be no more football for me. I'll miss the long bus trips to away games and having fun with my team mates.

Gotta try enjoy the last few months of my schooling life as well...

Oh how time flies!
